Through my growing up years I loved to watch and play sports. Ice hockey and
NASCAR are my two favorite sports. I also like volleyball, soccer, basketball,
baseball, and football. I have been fortunate enough to be able to attend
four NASCAR races; three at Vegas Motor Speedway and one at Daytona (which,
given a chance, I would love to go again – it was awesome). I hope to one
day make it to my favorite track – Talladega. I have also been able to attend
many Avalanche hockey game.
I have many hobbies. Among them, reading and scrap booking are two of my
favorite. I love to read. Reading opens doors to many new worlds and
adventures. Some of my favorite books are: the FableHaven series,
the Percy Jackson series, the Ranger’s Apprentice series,
the Harry Potter series, the Kane series, and The
Heroes of Olympus series.
I
enjoy teaching kindergarten. I can’t think of a grade that I would love to
teach more. The students’ energy and excitement for learning makes every day
worthwhile. This is my 12th year of teaching kindergarten. Before I started
teaching kindergarten, I worked in the Weber School District at West Haven
Elementary as a Special Education Preschool Aide. I graduated from Weber High
School and continued my educational experience at Weber State University where
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication with an emphasis
in Electronic Media. Though I loved the broadcast field, it was not where I was
meant to be. So I returned to school to further my education at the
University of Phoenix where I received my Master’s Degree in Elementary
Education K-8.
